NullPad is committed to transparency and privacy. Our billing operations are designed to be secure, simple, and compliant with global standards.

Merchant of Record (Paddle)

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com.

Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. They provide all customer service inquiries and handle returns. Paddle is responsible for managing taxes (VAT, Sales Tax), fraud prevention, and ensuring that all transactions comply with local financial regulations.

When you purchase a NullPad subscription, you will receive a receipt from Paddle, and the transaction on your bank statement will appear as PADDLE.NET * NULLPAD.

Corporate Plan & Admin Panel

NullPad offers a Corporate (Multi-Seat) subscription designed for teams, companies, and organizations requiring centralized billing and seat management.

How it Works

  • Seat-Based Billing: Organizations pay a flat fee per user (seat) per month.
  • Dynamic Scaling: The organization owner can increase or decrease the number of seats at any time. Paddle handles the calculation of the prorated charge or credit automatically.
  • Single Invoice: The organization owner receives a single consolidated invoice, which supports VAT/CNPJ configuration at checkout.

The Admin Panel

When a user is the owner of a Corporate subscription, they gain access to the Admin Panel directly within the Subscription section of their profile.

The Admin Panel includes:

  1. Seat Stepper: A custom control to easily increment or decrement seats.
  2. Team Directory: A central overview showing active members, their roles (owner or member), and pending invitations.
  3. Invitation Management: Owners can invite team members by typing their unique NullPad nicknames. The system generates secure, single-use invitation codes (e.g., NP-XXXX-XXXX).
  4. Activity Audit Logs: A security-focused trail of user actions within the organization (e.g., sync pushes, document deletions).
    • Privacy Protection: To respect personal privacy, the logs do not expose IP addresses or the raw contents of documents.
    • Post-Join Only: The audit logs only start tracking actions performed after the member accepted the invite and joined the organization. Actions taken prior to joining remain completely private.
    • CSV Export: Logs can be exported directly as a CSV spreadsheet file for security auditing and compliance.

Member Experience

When a member accepts an invitation to join an organization:

  • Automatic Upgrades: The member's account is upgraded to the premium tier sponsored by the organization, unlocking cloud sync, backups, and premium features.
  • Double-Billing Prevention: If the invited member has an active personal paid subscription (Pro or Advanced), NullPad automatically cancels the personal subscription to prevent double-billing.
  • Read-Only Directory: Members can see nicknames of other team members to facilitate native E2EE note sharing.
  • Data Sovereignty: Joining an organization does not grant the administrator access to the member's private/personal encrypted documents. All documents are encrypted client-side using Zero-Knowledge architecture. Content is only visible to others if explicitly shared using NullPad's native E2EE sharing feature.

Refund Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with NullPad.

  • 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee: We offer a full refund for any subscription within the first 14 days of the initial purchase, no questions asked.
  • How to Request a Refund: To request a refund, you can reach out to us at support@nullpad.app or use the support link provided in your Paddle receipt.
  • Processing: Once approved, refunds are processed immediately by Paddle.

Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time directly through the Profile menu in the NullPad application.

  • Access After Cancellation: When you cancel, you will retain access to all your Pro, Advanced, or Corporate features until the end of your current billing period.
  • No Automatic Renewals: After cancellation, your card will not be charged again unless you choose to reactivate your subscription.

If your subscription expires and you move to the Free Plan:

  • Immediate Sync Lock: If you have more than 3 documents in the cloud, cloud synchronization (Push) will be immediately disabled for all documents. You must reduce your document count or upgrade to resume syncing.
  • 30-Day Storage Grace Period: We will maintain your existing encrypted data in the cloud for 30 days in read-only mode, allowing you to pull your data to your local devices.
  • Cloud Purge: After the 30-day period, if the account remains on the Free tier, we will retain only the 3 most recently updated documents in the cloud. All other cloud copies will be permanently deleted to free up resources.
  • Local Data Safety: Importantly, your data stored locally on your devices is never affected by this policy. Only the secondary cloud copies are managed.
